Bocca Musica

Bocca Musica formed as a madrigal quintet in the fall of 1996. The original name of the group was Bocca Divertentissimo, which translates to "Mouth Full of Fun." While the implications are endless, the name was difficult to remember, so it was changed to Bocca Musica, which translates to "Music of the Mouth." The group slowly evolved (or maybe devolved) into a slapstick madrigal group, and finally, after several members of the group changed, The Bocca Show morphed into a bawdy, crazy, musical-comedy act. Our style mixes traditional drinking songs, bawdy songs, spoofs of musical theatre and modern songs with tight harmonies, spicy jokes and toasts! One fan was overheard saying,"It's the most fun you can have with your pants on!!!"

Bocca has performed both in the Midwest and Canada for numerous venues including: Renaissance festivals, Steampunk events, corporate functions, bookstores, parties, weddings, pubs and even some churches. We are always happiest when we're singing and making people laugh!
