Band Bio: Bringing Down Broadway
Bringing down Broadway was conceived as “Gauge” in the winter of 1998.
Although they didn’t own any musical instruments at the time, then 8th graders Brian Gorecki and Chris Herr were determined to one day be in a successful touring band. Within the next few years, they recruited three equally determined and enthusiastic musicians, Seth Brasile, Caleb Butler and Pete Kalinowski, and began playing local shows as often as they could. The five band mates decided early on to be a Christian band, and are proud to say at each venue that their musicianship is dedicated to Jesus Christ.
Having established a very stable lineup, with only two member changes in their existence, Bringing Down Broadway has been able to play literally hundreds of shows, write several dozen original songs, and create a fan base throughout the greater part of the United States.
In the past year, the members of Gauge have decided to change their name and put all other priorities on hold in order to tour as much as possible. In the spring of 2006, they returned from their 5th tour, which spanned two months and covered most of the continental U.S. They are currently writing new material planning their upcoming touring schedule. Their new cd titled “Its All Gone South” is on the Wounded Records label.
