Byron Durant

“All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.”-Brian Tracy. The bible puts it this way “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
These are quotes that Byron Durant lives by that gives him drive and encouragement to strive for his dream of being a songwriter in the gospel music industry. Byron Durant was born in Landstuhl, Germany, June 19, 1980, and spent most of his life in Melbourne, Florida. He and his wife, Brandy have four children and is currently serving in the Armed Forces in the Department of the Army. Byron has been serving in the Army for the past 13 years. He is currently stationed at Camp Humphreys, Korea. He has served as the minister of music at Ephesus SDA Church in Clarksville, Tennessee, and has been writing songs since the age of 22. He has written for several singing groups including Mahogany Praise and Shades of Harmony.
Since his return from deployment he is currently working on a demo project to be considered for usage by several gospel artists and labels. Byron is working with local notable singing groups, artists and producers such as Xample, Pastor Shamond Scales and Nadar Cade to produce a demo project that will arrest the attention of its listeners. He desires to share his testimonies through song with the world. He doesn’t just want his songs to sound great, but to minister to the listeners. Byron desires to have a worship experience to be associated with the songs that he writes; and also has desires for his songs to take its listeners beyond the veil and experience God’s glory. His mission is to minister, uplift, and encourage the world through song one song at a time.
