Born October 14, 1980 as a native of Jamaica, Garris Nickle aka “C.H.R.O.M.E” began his journey. After migrating to America and being raised in a fatherless home, his adolescent years was spent using drugs and going in and out of juvenile jail. By the age of 17 he had a child on the way and was headed to prison as a youthful offender for 52 months. After prison, the harsh realities of being an ex-offender led him down many more paths of suffering and an addiction to snorting cocaine. After checking his self into a Christian drug rehab through God’s providence, he was radically transformed. Now married with four girls, he still has to deal with the harsh realities of being an ex-offender and has been homeless and lived in a shelter twice with his family. Now he continues to make an impact for Jesus Christ through his testimony and the love of God. Always known for rapping, CH.R.O.M.E. formerly stood for Causing Havoc Regularly On My Enemies which God has now changed to stand for Christ Has Really Opened My Eyes.
