Not far from Philadelphia, in one house, lives all six members of Can You Canoe; a band who has hopped on the wagon to turn the wheels of change in modern rock music. Can You Canoe’s folk/country/classic rock roots come to light as they begin to establish a sound that’s all their own. Performing seven members strong, Can You Canoe deliver a dynamic, high-energy show that will make any rock enthusiast tap their foot, and curl their lip.
Shortly after their formation in April 2009, Can You Canoe recorded the Brandywine EP which they independently released and toured heavily to promote. Posterior to the Brandywine EP, Can You Canoe moved in together and began creating their self-titled debut album.
Unsatisfied with their previous studio experiences the Can You Canoe LP was entirely recorded and mixed in the comfort of their own home during the Winter of 2010. May 2011 marked the official release of the Can You Canoe LP, which coincidentally birthed a tighter, more cohesive, more musical, Can You Canoe.
Between opening for national artists in front of sold out crowds; weaving in and out of internet and college radio accompanied by increasing popularity in the peer-to-peer community, Can You Canoe continue to build their underground momentum in and beyond the greater Philadelphia area.
Currently, Can You Canoe are recording their second full length album.
