Careless Hearts
 

Biography

Careless Hearts are a five-piece indie/roots rock band from San José, CA. They have released two full albums (and one 7-inch single), and have been gigging steadily since late 2005. Prominent elements of country, rock, folk, and alt-pop in their sound have earned them comparisons to The Replacements, Old 97s, REM, and The Byrds.

They are:
Paul Kimball (Denton, TX, Olympia, WA): lead vocals, rhythm guitar, harmonica
Derek See (LA, Chicago): lead guitar, vocals
Brian "Thunderhead" Michael (Sandwich, NH, Ft. Worth, TX): bass, vocals
Jody Clarke (Castro Valley, CA): pedal steel guitar, banjo, electric guitar
Eric Powers (Morgan Hill, CA): drums

Named "DIY Top Pick" by Performing Songwriter magazine, March 2007
"Yolo County Line" (from album Heart’s Delight) licensed by Palm, Inc. for the launch of the company's highly publicized phone, the Pre.
