Carey's Influenced by: Rock a Billy, Country, Blues Classic & British Rock & Sang with His Family as a Kid at Church & Family Gatherings.
In 1977, He Gigged Live Events & after dropping out of High School, Moved to Toronto On, to pursue a Music Career. There He Wrote & Recorded some Original Material while Supporting Himself on Minimum Wage Jobs 3.65 / Hour finally at 23 years, returned Home Discouraged, Empty & Cynical. Wrestling with Depression, Anxiety & Realization that He'd Crossed the Line into Alcohol Dependency. It was at This Bottom that He attended A.A. / N.A. for 6 years. God Persistently went to Great lengths to Speak to Him, finally getting His attention. Through an Unusually laid out Chain of Events. In May 1990 at the age of 29 years., He was led by Evangelical Christians to accept "Jesus Christ" as Personal Savior. This Event combined with other Life Experiences, Strongly Emerge in His Music. Many of These songs are a Guitar Driven, Auto-Biographical Collection & that have Soul Rockin' Revelation. He was Just a Kid who wanted to be in a Rock 'n' Roll Band & He knows what it's like to Hit Bottom. Unfortunately, The Substance Abuse Stole that away, but because of this reversal God is Morphing Out His Original Intentions one Day at a Time. Through The Years, Carey's Music has been Embraced by both Christian & Mainstream Venues.
