Carlington Roberts is a gospel vocalist with the soul of God, with the heart for Praise and Worship. He has the contemporary flair of Pastor Donnie McKlurkin, Bebe Winans, Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp all four combined.
Carlington has had the privelage to minister with Bishop John Frances of Ruach Ministries from London England and Dr. Myles Munroe of Nassa Bahamas. In 2005 he appeared has special guest on TBN, hosted by Steve Brock.
Carlington has shared the stage with Don Moen, Kirk Franklin, Vicki Winans, Mary Mary, Donnie Mcklurkin, John Pekee, Candi Staton, Luther Barns, Canton Jones, Jimmie Higges, Junior Tucker and Papa San.
On January 31, 2004, Carlington released his first CD entitled “How Can I Say No?” The CD consists of 4 original songs written by him and highlights his songwriting and vocal aptitude. This CD is currently gaining international air play. He has now completed the much anticipated SOAR! Project released on September 12, 2005. Carlington is in high demand for concerts, weddings, banquets and other gospel events.
Carlington earned multiple nominations for the 2004 Caribbean Gospel Music Award (CGMA) in the Top Gospel Male Performer Caribbean/USA and Top Gospel Caribbean New Artiste categories. Carlington was awarded Top Caribbean Gospel Male Singer at the 2005 Caribbean Gospel Music Awards ceremony staged in Brooklyn, NY on June 4, 2005. His Hit Song SOAR also was nominated for five awards at the Marlin Awards in Nassau Bahamas 2005. On September 2006, Carlington receive an award for best overseas singer of the year at the Maja Awards ceremony in Kingston Jamaica at the Hilton Hotel.
In 2011 Carlington was selected as one of the top 20 finalist for the BET Sunday's Best Show. in the elimination round with his incredible Voice singing lord I lift your name on high, Carlington made it to the top 10 spot. then on to the top 7.
