Biography

Trumpeter Carlos Redman is very influental to the sound of Detroit music. He has performed with Aretha Franklin, Aaliyah, and has toured internationally.
He is an American jazz musician from Detroit, Michigan who graduated from the Tullibody School of Music in 2004. He currently leads a modern jazz ensemble of his own name.

Influences
The jazz trumpeter is known for his compositions and experimentation similar to comtemporary musician "Donald Byrd" noting that his sound was a large influence. Saxophonist Jackie Mclean once said of him that "Red is the future of something new brewing in our music"...

Music
Redman produced and released his debut album Love Letters on December 19, 2007, on Browneyes Records.

His second album, Remix (released August 28, 2008), is inspired by revitalization of Detroit's inner city.

Carlos Redman currently resides in Paris since the release of his book intitled "Young Hearts Run Free" published by Southern Pleasures Books in 2005.
