Carolina Davis

With a sound compared to Sade with a twist of soul and rock; this classically trained singer/songwriter has created a sound that once a person hears it he/she will know that it is Carolina Davis. Her voice is smooth, sensual and expressive. Her lyrics are based on real life experiences from her own life or everyday people around her. " I want my music to be relatable. I like to paint a picture in the listeners mind." Carolina stated. This Roselle, IL native defines the true meaning of ambitious and hardworking by being a singer, songwriter, composer, producer, actress and model.

On June 29, 2011 Carolina received a great music review on her song "Stolen Dreams" by Producer Stuart Epps, who is credited for working with Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Chris Rea, George Harrison, Mick Fleetwood, Barry White, George Michael and the list goes on...

Growing up Carolina was surrounded by a great deal of music. Her mother was a strong music lover and would play all types of music, which gained Carolina's attention. Being a person who kept to herself; she found music to be a way to express her feelings and to get away into her own world. At a very young age Carolina got involved with music in every way that she could. She studied her craft by taking voice, acting and modeling training. Carolina has been involved with a lot of musical theater productions and solo recitals; such as "Urinetown," "Aida," "The Little Shop of Horrors," and the list goes on. She was awarded Tri-M; which is a music honor society for excelled musicians. Through that society she sung the national anthem at basketball games and at different events around the area. She majored in Voice Performance in college where she was trained to sing opera and classical repertoire; as well as learn music theory, history of music and piano.

In 2008, Carolina was flown to Los Angeles to partake in an talent competition called I.M.T.A(International Modeling and Talent Association). While there for a week she competed in modeling, acting and singing. She got the attention of Marc Williams from Indasoul Records where they recorded a demo tape for one of her songs she wrote called "Be Free".

In 2010-2011 Carolina furthered her career by being an intern for Onnie Music Record label in Chicago, IL where she gained knowledge of the music industry business wise as well as performance wise. This same year Carolina explore new opportunities and that is when she recorded an album with producer Kenny Coleman from Chicago, IL. She is greatly influenced by different generations and genres of music; such as Beyonce, Alicia keys, Nirvana, No Doubt, 2Pac, Sade, Madonna and the list goes on. She studies all types of genres of music to spread her horizons.

It is Undoubtedly said, Carolina Davis is a determined artist. She will work days on end to get the job done. Carolina thrives to get her music heard globally and for people to be inspired, motivated and touched by her music and lyrics. As Carolina progresses as an artist; it is evident that she will not stop her passion to become a world wide singer. Whether it is singing, writing lyrics, producing, composing, acting, promoting or modeling; this young artist gives every ounce of her to make beautiful art.
