BIOGRAPHY

Cdrive owes homage to his home town Houston, TX where such names as Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, H-Town, Paul Wall and many other successful artists emerged. At the age of 15 is when he recorded his first record on his own label and then went on to sign with a local more established label Dance Time Records. He recorded two singles for the label giving him connections to the Houston rap based label Rap-A lot- Records. Both singles were engineered by Doug King, the producer behind Geto Boys “My Mind Playing Tricks On Me”. Later he formed an R&B group called Interval and released a single off his own label entitled “It Takes Two To Tango”.
R&B artist Cdrive was explaining the genesis of his new album title, “Law of Attraction”. “It is the belief that "like attracts like" and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results in relationships. The new album is scheduled for Jan 1, 2013, and is Cdrive’s fourth studio album for Track House Production$ imprint (THP$). This new album is my contribution to bringing back the feel of R&B music and keeping the smooth melodies and lyrics that you will remember like back in your High School sweetheart days. There are a lot of great artists out here, making great music, but I felt that I wanted to take it back a little too where songs had more substance and that can relate to real everyday love. There are songs that you can associate to any relationship whether it was a happy feeling or sad occasion.
This album take closer looks at relationships and all aspects within. Songs such as lead single “Let’s Play”about being alone with your lover and having that romantic quality time with each other doing whatever comes to mind. Songs like; "Attraction" “Temporary”, “In Denial”, “F.Y.I” and “Now I Know” are all examples of how ups and downs of relationships can go and in varies of ways. Law of Attraction can be extremely powerful when dealing with love and commitment to another with a strong magnetic field. Cdrive has always demonstrated strong writing and composing skills and this new album once again prove his worthiness in this industry. His consistency and longevity in this industry makes him stay competitive and hungry to pursue his goals in life. Cdrive has also been known to compose a track from music to lyrics in 30 minutes or less yet not jeopardizing any qualities whatsoever. He is by far one of the most underrated R&B artists in his field to date. Cdrive has been hard at work on his new album “Law of Attraction” for two months now and will finally release the attraction to the rest of the world.
This 14 track album brings on smooth melodies and thoughtful lyrics with a touch of soulful vocals creating that R&B Gumbo sound he has been known to bring. Truly a mixture of a little of this and that with all the great seasoning to bring out the flavor. Cdrive has never failed to give us his signature sound all the while throwing in a little something extra for dessert.
