Chad Laniewski ( La - New - Ski ) Born in 1972 in Schenectady, New York. Chad's passion for music came to him at the early age of eight. His first inspiration was his Grandfather John Laniewski who gave Chad his first guitar. John Laniewski played and owned almost every instrument there was.Chad has fond memories of going to his grandfathers house, especially his music room.
Chad first began his journey in lessons through his Grandfather then on to a long list of teachers along the way. In 1988, Chad's last instructor; a graduate of Musicians Institute - G.I.T, Doug Villano was an inspiration both musically and personaly. Chad's main musical style is Instumental Rock and he intermixes styles of Rock, Classical ,Jazz and Blues. With every song he blends many styles of music to keep it as described " A Variety Pack ".
Chad has played with various local bands but has set his focus the last several years mostly on his Instrumental career with more dedication to promoting in 2010.
His technique has been compared to such artists as : Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons and George Lynch , with a unique "twist" of his own.. Chad has a keen observation regarding his tone in both recording and live sounds, relentlessly working to develop new ways to get the tones he desires. In 2012 Chad joined legendary guitarist Steve Vai's record label Digital Nations / Favored Nations. As of December 2013 Chad had started his own company "Media Music Composers" for independently releasing his own music as well as music production work for likes of TV, Film, Radio, Advertising and more.
