Koriander - is a passionate vocalist and songwriter whose style ranges from vibrant and soaring to serene. She was deeply impacted by her first experiences with kirtan during her life at Kripalu ashram. Many a night playing clubs and taverns in New York and Philly only strengthened her desire to return to kirtan.
In 1999, Koriander moved to Asheville and in 2001 initiated the first kirtan gatherings in the area. She walks the path of Naad Yoga (singing mantras) in her daily life and through years of working with others is able to guide them into immersing in the Divine Energy of the moment - be it through stillness, exuberant dance or meditation.
Rishi - brings many years as an avid percussionist to Chaitanya. He learned to play the Indian classical drum, the Mridanga while he helped to establish and lived in a ashram for many years. During those times, he also attributes his sense of rhythm being further tuned while learning Sanskrit mantras.
Tom Aldrich - A veteran of many styles of music from rock bands that played the Midwest in the late 70's and early 80's, show bands and quirky pop music in the 90's, current styles of Cajun, blues, Americana, folk-rock, to a love for world music that has spiritual roots.
