An accomplished songwriter who started writing at age 16, Chalan has made that journey many musicians hope to make to Nashville where he recorded his first music project, "It's About Time", in 1992 where he teamed up with members of Clint Black's band. Chalan has also had the opportunity to share the stage with some of country music's finest such as: Lorrie Morgan, Mark Chesnutt and Merle Haggard and has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, TN. Chalan was also on tour with Nashville recording artist, the late Amy Comeaux in the summer of 1996. A career that has evolved for three decades of performing can be experienced when you hear this gentleman sing. Chalan's vocal abilities are as true to country as country could be. Chalan is a member of Kip Sonnier & Hurricane, SpitKup, Johnny Chauvin & the Mojo Band and in 2009 launched the traditional country band SteerCrooked.
