Chandra Calloway has been a performer since the age of five. She is currnetly a background singer, for legendary, Southern Soul & Blues star, Mel Waiters.
Chandra hails from a community within the city limits of Grand Prairie, TX, called Dalworth. Her love for music was developed while listening as her parents enjoyed many evenings of social gatherings, where dominos, fish frys, and good times played a huge part in their lives. Their 'shotgun' home on Holland St. was a well known party spot. She grew up listening to the best in the business. Some of her favorite artist are The Emotions, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Prince, and Betty Wright.
This young lady has a stage show that is full of energy and you can just feel her zest for life, even if she has the blues. She's going to love her way through a bad situation and convince you that she is doing just fine.
