Described as Abba meets The Sex Pistols, Cheater Pint is a four-piece rock band with no gimmicks, no bullshit. Their in-your-face live performances can catch off guard those seduced by the accessible pop of their studio recordings.
Spectators have likened Cheater Pint to the Fastbacks, Breeders, X, Veruca Salt, Mary's Danish and the Pixies, and have been recently described as "the Go-Go's on massive steroids." Band members consider early alternative rock bands like the Replacements, Superchunk The Clash, Cheap Trick and Pavement amongst their influences.
Propelled by the success of the single "Control Freak," the 'Pint released their first full-length album in September 2007. The album reached number 2 on the Boston local radio chart and charted or reached rotation at over 150 college/community radio stations across the U.S. and Canada.
Cheater Pint has played to a loyal and growing fan base in the 30th WBCN Rock 'n' Roll Rumble in 2008, the International Pop Overthrow in 2007 and 2008, the Rising Tide Concert Series and several Boston-area venues such as Great Scott, The Middle East Club, T.T. The Bear's Place, and The Abbey Lounge with the likes of The Cliks, Aberdeen City, The Charms, The Gravel Pit, Humanwine, The Figgs and Damone.
Cheater Pint called it quits as a band in 2008. But they still drink together on occasion.

"Honest, what-you- see-is-what-get music... it may just remind you of why you started listening [to rock music] in the first place."
—Rock and Roll and Meandering Nonsense
"They are like the great Boston rock of old — Robin Lane or Private Lightning — only with more gusto."
"The kind of ragged pop that boasts too many hooks and too much heart for a gang who couldn’t give a shit about playing sober."
"Danceable rock ’n’ roll with a juxtaposition of introspective lyrics and extroverted music."
"...delivers just the right amount of shine and grit. ’Dark Side Of The Pint’ is glazed with crunch and bite — the real roots of this feel-good rock group."
"PINT O’ GOODNESS!"
"Cheater Pint is a ’bar band’ [in that] great Boston tradition that stretches from the Charms and the Dents back to the Lyres and the Real Kids."
