Caroldene is an ultra-talented professional who has performed at venues, large and small, throughout the U.K, Middle East, North Africa, the Americas & Europe. She would often be the warm up act for a number of other acts, such as the late Mike Reed, Jim Davison and Joe Pescalli.
She toured with supergroup Matt Bianco, performing at venues such as the Blue Notes throughout Japan and stadiums across Europe. She has also shared the stage with some of music’s greats such as James Brown, Chaka Khan, Mica Paris, Level 42 and Imagination.
Through the years, her close relationship with a small Indie record label (Mass Music) based in New York and with Lovecat Music (based in Los Angeles), provided her the forum to become part of a writing team which would go on to write songs that featured in a number of films and T.V shows. She has been credited for music in the movies: Babel, In America, Hell to Pay and Brave One and in TV shows such as Sex & The City, Ugly Betty, Sweet 16 and others.
Caroldene's influences are many, and she lists them as: Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Al Green, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Betty Wright, Phyllis Hyman, Denise Williams, Teena Marie, Karen Carpenter, and many more.
Caroldene's latest offering, "Island Blues", is a collaboration with the producers at UKMusichouse Records, who were convinced that her smooth, yet powerful voice would be perfect for their Jazzed-up Reggae version of Koop's classic masterpiece. You'll agree she's done a great job!
Oh, by the way...don't forget to check out the remixes by Gary Bond andSydders, and also Indie's Latin style Miami mix...they're hot!
