Chuck Curry

Chuck Curry is a trumpet player and singer, originally from Flagstaff, Arizona, who began playing at the age of five. Chuck obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Northern Arizona University in 1985 and his Masters of Arts in Music from Youngstown State University in 1987. Along the way, he studied from such highly esteemed trumpet greats as Esotto Pelligrini, Charlie Way and David Hickman.
Curry has always been well received as a performer. He toured throughout Arizona extensively as a member of several musical groups, including: Limbs Akimbo (1989-1993), Azz Izz Band (1998-2007) and Bad Sneakers (2008-2009) Chuck also toured with Limbs Akimbo in 1995 and 1996 in Thailand. This gained him international notoriety as a performer, trumpet player and singer. As a result, Curry formed a band in Thailand which he fronted as singer/trumpet soloist from 1993 through 1997. Chuck has also performed with The Temptations (2002). Curry has been performing on the Princess Cruise Lines since 2009 both as a singer and trumpet player, and has also performed in three off-Broadway national tours during that time: The Wedding Singer (2009-2010), All Shook Up (2011), and Fiddler on the Roof (2012-2013).
Curry’s recording credits include the CDs, Walking on the Coals by Limbs Akimbo (1991), Based on a True Story by Azz Izz Band (2002), and Advances by Kinch Band (2008). His first solo release, Late Bloom (2013), has been described as “musically magnificent!”
