Biography

At the crossroads of jazz, pop, blues, and soul, Clairdee seamlessly blends great songs and buoyant rhythms, telling riveting stories in her distinctive style. From nightclubs, festivals and concert halls, from Tokyo to Paris, New York to Newport Beach, she is right at home. She has worked with and opened for a diverse roster of artists including the Count Basie Orchestra, Bucky Pizzarelli, Etta James, Claudia Villela, David Sanborn, Boz Scaggs, Cyrus Chestnut, Ken Peplowski, Bill Cunliffe, Gerald Clayton, Taylor Eigsti, Jeremy Pelt, and Dianne Schuur. Intelligent and articulate, Clairdee’s skills as a first-rate interviewer impressed during her standing-room-only conversation with legendary vocalist Nancy Wilson at the 2008 Monterey Jazz Festival.
