Clocked Out is the creative enterprise of composer-pianist Erik Griswold and composer-percussionist Vanessa Tomlinson. For 10 years they've produced some of Australia's most innovative contemporary music and interarts projects.
In their core group, Clocked Out Duo, Erik and Vanessa have explored the possibilities of prepared piano, percussion, found objects and toy instruments. In The Wide Alley, for five Chinese and five Australian musicians, they've forged new ground in intercultural collaboration. And in projects like Sounding the Condamine they've combined elements of community art, acoustic ecology, experimental music and installation.
Clocked Out are ensemble-in-residence at Queensland Conservatorium, and receive annual funding from Arts Queensland. They produce an annual series of concerts and interarts events in Brisbane, and tour internationally to locations such as London, Reykjavic, Seoul, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Sydney, Chengdu, and Wellington.
