Biography

It was not easy to release this record unless I knew that it would have the Blessing of Delaney's daughters . I have been fortunate enough to have that now . It's like releasing birds into the air to fly as they will . This record is a Tribute and thanks to my ex-husband and partner of 13 years , despite the very hard times I have this gift from him to me . I only listened to it for the first time since the recording of it at the ranch and thought to myself that this was indeed the last of the great recordings of Delaney Bramlett . His voice and playing was clear ...clean and simply superb. As is the production and sound . I am blessed with having this as my own Legacy with with Delaney . I hand picked the songs and Delaney really put his heart and Soul into it ,and now after all these years I can really appreciate it with new ears and eyes .
Additionally ,I have the great priviledge and honor to have Michele Bramlett's artwork( Delaney's eldest daughter ) grace the Cd . I gave Michele a simple idea and she came up with the most equisite piece that really shows what the record was all about , the Original Fruit ( The Apple ) , the Garden of Eden , the snake and ill-fated couple . It has a deeper esoteric meaning .
This record/Cd was originally released on DK Records , a cottage label owned by us (Delaney Bramlett and CoCo Carmel ). At the time there was no internet selling going on ,so now all these years later and after Delaney's passing , I have decided to release the tracks once again .
I think that it is an important work and the world should be able to hear it . Co-produced by Delaney & CoCo , engineered by CoCo Carmel , many of the songs are co-written by Delaney and I . There are also a couple of great songs chosen for their historical greatness and purity ... " I don't know why " ( Eric Clapton ) and also
" Sing My Way Home " , a favorite of the Delaney sound so indicative of his early works .
I am so proud of this record ,and finally can release it with a happy heart ,knowing that Delaney would have been proud .
Also appearing on the record is Bekka Bramlett ( Doin' it Right and "Sound of the City" ) , Delaney Bramlett on guitars , backround vocals .
Bob Gross and Chad Watson on Bass ,
David Raven & Al Lichtenstein on Drums .
John Fumo on Tumpet ,
Mike Acosta on Saxes .
Kelly McCall Fumo on backround vocals
Delaney & CoCo Carmel singing all backrounds except*.
And thanks to Randy Sharp who also has a song on this called "On and On" , Delaney's longtime dear friend for Mastering this .
A final thanks to my husband Bobby Whitlock for his support in getting this out .
