Collective Acoustics

Biography

Having previously collaborated on everything from backing singer-songwriters to producing jazz and classical artists to touring with Rock, Country, Hip-Hop and Polish pop stars, the members of Collective Acoustics decided it was time to form a cohesive group of their own. The music that has developed from their writing and recording sessions has run the gamut from acoustic jazz to dobro-driven electronica, yet the band has cultivated a signature sound focused on musical interaction, touch, experimentation, and audiophile quality production and engineering.

In addition to their live performances and recorded releases, these composers and musicians are also putting the human touch back in source music for TV, Film and Multimedia. All material is played on real instruments by real people and recorded with vintage and custom built microphones, preamps, delays, compressors and EQs. No samples. No Loops. No MIDI. Each member has writing credits on all major Network and cable TV stations as well as production and performing credits on a wide variety of commercial recordings.

Collective Acoustics feels that the current fad of in your face production with turn everything to 11 mastering is no substitute for the vibe and warmth of real musicians interacting and the use of dynamics, subtlety, taste, and nuance.
