Connie MacLeod is sort of like the Phoenix...but not rising on her own strength. She was then known to her fans as Connie Blackwood, but a divine intervention left her without a singing voice, treading water in a flood of personal loss and in search of who she really was. Though her faith had always been strong, she questioned why she was even here, if not to sing? But the Lord is faithful and delivered Connie across the tumult to a resting-place that was safe, in His arms! The discovery that her worth was not found in simply being a singer/songwriter was huge, really huge! Jesus carried her through and set her feet upon the Rock...He showed her she was worth so much more as a cherished child of the King of Kings!
