Crankshaft and The Gear Grinders is an extension of Crankshaft the one-man band. When Alex "Crankshaft" Larson was a young man it was his dream to lead an in-your-face R&B garage band and that dream has been made possible by the Gear Grinders. Members include Page Burkum, Pat Nudd, Clint Larson, Johann Swenson, Jeremy Krueth, Kashimana Ahua, Javier Matos, Mr. Mark Vetsch, Elmer "Danger" Johnston, Jonathan Kennedy, James Jimmyapolis Wallace, Kevin James, Keith Boyles, Bruce McCabe, Grant Wibben and Pete Hennig.
