Cristyle Renae

Every once in a while an artist comes along with the ability to touch us with a very special gift. For Singer/Songwriter CriStyle Renae, that time is now. With a contralto voice filled with soul and passion, she is poised to make her mark on the music world.

For as long as she can recall, the South Florida native was always surrounded by music. “I was the baby of the family by 10 years, so I got to absorb the music of my parents and my older siblings. I was listening to everything from Isaac Hayes and Donny Hathaway to Anita Baker and Luther Vandross.”

She realized her talent at the age of 6, as her older brother would coax her to mimic current artists. He was the catalyst and from then on she knew she had something special. Over the years she has honed her talent to become an artist that reflects the same love, soul and warmth that her vocals resonate.

CriStyle relishes the unique connection formed between a performer and the audience. She lives to perform with a live band. “Performing is a communion, a sharing of energy and love. There is nothing like being able to fully express your art and give the audience a piece of you.”

Her debut album, Signature of Love, captures everything from the ups and downs of relationships to anthems of self-love and upliftment. The music is primarily R&B/Soul but has tunes that flirt with jazz, blues and even hip-hop elements. The album is fused with heartfelt lyrics and melodies.

It’s time for CriStyle to shine and bring her unique style to center stage. She hopes to touch people and evoke the same feelings she gets from her favorites like Anita Baker, Rachelle Ferrell, Chaka Khan and Donny Hathaway. “You watch these tremendous artists give, what I consider, master classes in singing/performing. . . I stay inspired by watching them.” We’re watching for CriStyle to make an indelible mark on music. Her time has come.
