From New York to Los Angeles, starting out with Big Bands, the USO and Summer Stock, Cynthia Crane has been singing all her life. Primarily a Club and Cabaret singer, she has given concerts in Paris clubs (performing in French), Jazz Festivals and the American Embassy. Her eight CDs display a wide range of material both new and old, although she admits to a particular affection for classic bar songs à la Frank Sinatra, thus LookoutJazz is releasing her 9th CD:

Singer, Actress, Preservationist, Environmentalist, Francophile, Crane was co-founder and producer of the highly regarded Impossible Ragtime Theater (IRT) for 100 productions and a ten-year run. A dedicated, native New Yorker, she founded Friends of the Jefferson Market Library Bell, which brought voice back to Ol’ Jeff, the 128-year-old Bell in Greenwich Village’s Venetian Gothic Tower; she also created & chaired her local Mulry Angle/W. 11th Street Block Assn.
