D.W. Brandt and the Great Migration chase the FORGOTTEN down memory lane. While waiting tables; working in landscaping, in kitchens, and in trail-guiding; while wandering the back-roads; while handing out free crap; and during two separate stints panhandling on Hollywood Boulevard, they put together a retrospective of their time in America during the last century. Recording began in a bungalow in Cahuenga Pass circa 1935, which was then demolished in 1940 to make way for the 101 Freeway. But the tracks were found and finished in an abandoned Mansion, one canyon over off Beachwood, in 2010. These are songs for the overjoyed, the completely downtrodden, and the downright rascals. You won’t have a clue where you’re going, but you’ll get to know where you came from.
