Dana Pomfret is a singer-songwriter from NYC, now living in New England. She's recorded her original music for Elektra, SBK and Warner Bros, Int’l. Records, and grew up performing in New York's rock and folk institutions: CBGB's, The Bitter End, Tramps, The Lonestar, the Bottom Line, etc. Signed to a publishing deal with Jean Davoust/Paris, she's performed her original music throughout the US and Europe.
Dana's new release, Float, was recorded over a period of nearly 6 years by engineer Tommy Skarupa. Tom lugged his gear from kitchens to living rooms, improvising recording studios everywhere and making it possible for a stellar cast of players to work together. Dana's co-writers and collaborators include legendary guitarist/producer/songwriter Danny Kortchmar, Stefani Langol (keyboards, piano, vocals, co-writer), Tim McDonald (guitar, vocals), Francois Moutin (upright bass, co-writer), Jon Peckman (drums, percussion), Jerry Martinez (guitar, vocals), Jeff Pevar (guitar), Steve Postell (guitar), Marina Belica (co-writer, Chalk) and Jen Lowe (percussion).
