Danielle Kelley began singing at a very young age, performing her first lead at six years old on the classic, “I Really Love the Lord” with her youth choir at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. The first born of Rev. Dr. David L. Kelley II and First Lady Kim Kelley hails from a singing family with deep gospel roots. Her first love was the piano, but that quickly changed with the growth of her love for singing.
In January 2008, she joined the New York Fellowship Mass Choir, under the leadership of the late Rev. Timothy Wright, as a background singer in the soprano section, until the Godfather of Gospel discovered her voice. She continues to be a dedicated lead vocalist in that ministry now known as the Timothy Wright Memorial Choir, and is a featured lead on the choir’s first and hit single, “God Has Been So Good.” Also a faithful member of the revamped New York Fellowship Mass Choir - The Next Generation, an aggregation of 150+ singers under the leadership of Pastor David Wright, Danielle revives the female lead on the classic remake "Who's On The Lord's Side" on the first volume of the double-disc project released in January 2014.
On January 27, 2012, Danielle debuted as the first solo recording artist on the newly formed Rev. Timothy Wright tributary independent label, Godfather Records, in a live recording at her home church.
Danielle’s singles, “You Are,” “Still Have Joy,” and “Conqueror” have been spinning nationally on radio stations across the country since their release, and she can now be heard on her own Pandora Radio station. In 2014, Danielle received five nominations from the Rhythm of Gospel Awards, the largest independent gospel awards show in the nation. Her nominations included CD of the Year and Song of the Year, and Danielle was presented with the award for Praise and Worship Song of the Year!
Danielle is often quoted saying, “Music is how God and I communicate with each other.” She now presents an open invitation to all, to join in the intimate conversation, with her Godfather Records debut album, “Conqueror.”
