I was introduced to music at a very young age and began playing saxophone in 5th grade. I continued playing saxophone through my senior year in high school. I started playing guitar in 1986 while in college. I'm a completely self-taught guitar player, and play mainly by ear, but I do read music and tabs for really difficult parts. I initially learned my barre & power chords and listened to my favorite songs to figure them out. After spending some time in Kansas City and Phoenix playing with various musicians, I returned to the midwest. I was the lead/rhythm guitarist in a semi-successful cover band in Mid-Missouri called Whiskey Tango and released one CD of original material until the group disbanded in 2009.
I now spend my days writing, recording, mixing, and producing music out of my home. I still learn new songs on a weekly basis, and started taking piano lessons in 2010. I use Song Acid Pro, Reaper, and Garageband to create, record, mix, and produce music.
