BIOGRAPHY
Darren Rhodes’ first introduction to yoga was in utero, and he has been a student of yoga ever since. In 1999, Darren founded YogaOasis studios in Tucson, AZ. In 2006, he was photographed in 350 poses for the popular poster “From Tadasana to Savasana.” In 2007, Darren co-created yogahour, an all-levels, $4, flow yoga class that offers precise alignment instructions with succinct delivery. Darren now offers yogahour teacher trainings throughout the United States and beyond. In 2008, Yoga Journal named Darren one of the Top 21 Teachers Under 40 who are “shaping the future of yoga.” He published Yoga Resource in 2011, a book of 400 photographs of yoga poses organized by category, designed to help practitioners quickly locate and identify poses. In 2012, Darren founded Shravana School of Yoga along with Christina Sell and Noah Mazé. Shravana School of Yoga offers intensives and 200- and 500-hour teacher trainings throughout the world. Darren lives in Tucson with his wife, child, and ever-expanding yoga community.
