Founded on the idea that genre is a construct alternately embraced and ignored, the Das Binky Recording Collective is John Das Binky, a multi-instrumentalist based in Madison, WI, and a rotating band of collaborators who join him in the battle to create catchy and enduring pop, rock, metal, folk, electronica and whatever else they can think of playing.
Writing and playing since 2009, Das Binky focuses on the idea that a good hook can hide anywhere. In over a hundred songs and dozens of genres, John is always looking to find new ways to express ideas, and new people with whom to express them. As part of the February Album Writing Month (FAWM) community, Das Binky Recording Collective has expanded to include more than 40 songwriters and performers. These member of The Collective span the United States and the World.
