BIOGRAPHY
Dave began composing and recording original jazz and fusion material while studying music education at Boston University in the mid 90's. During the 90's and early 00's, a significant amount of time was spent in studios and in performance (notably for Carnival Cruise Lines as well as with the Four Tops). Long overdue, two albums ("Transition" and "Evolution") have been recently released containing material from this period. As Dave's teaching career became increasingly time-consuming, he took a necessary hiatus from performing and recording. 2012 marks a definitivie return to the microphone as two brand new albums take shape and gain life. "Work in Progress," Dave's first full traditional jazz session since 2001, was recorded in September and will be released as an EP in October. "Retrospective," a fusion album comprised of brand new compositions as well as new arrangements of older material, is a stark departure from the WYSIWYG approach of his prior recordings in that it capitalizes on the advancements in music and communications technology and is being assembled in such a way as to allow a distinctly higher level of attention to be paid to the arrangements and the production.
