Dave Tate and Victoria Lagerström

The poetically crafted lyricism, and expressive acoustic guitar work of Dave Tate
beautifully compliments the soulful soaring tones of Victoria Lagerström in this Trans- Atlantic contemporary folk duo.
Tate and Lagerström recently released their debut duet CD, “The Same Heart.”
In December 2009 they will embark on a European tour to support “The Same Heart”
that will include Sweden and the Netherlands where they have a large following.

The Same Heart” is a collection of songs about their story of their Trans-Atlantic romance.
Lagerström came to the US from Stockholm, Sweden to write and record “The Same Heart” with Tate.
The couple fell in love and Lagerström ended up not using her return ticket to Sweden.
The couple was married among the beautiful cliffs of Zion National Park three weeks after her arrival.
Tate and Lagerström have since toured throughout the US and internationally. The duo currently resides in Zion.

The combination of Tate’s folk and folk/rock influences and Lagerström’s background in Jazz and Soul singing
creates a unique soulful acoustic sound. Aptly described as Paul Simon/Jeff Buckley meets Eva Cassidy/Joni Mitchell,
Tate and Lagerström lead audiences into an intimate space in their records and in live performances.
Between the two of them Tate and Lagerström have nine studio albums to their credit. Both Tate and Lagerström
have received critical acclaim for their solo work as well as for “The Same Heart.”

Heaven Magazine recently praised Tate’s work; "His own unique style (think of a cross between Paul Simon
and Jeff Buckley, not just in style but also in quality) hits such a level of perfection that it's hard to comprehend
anything more beautiful." Folk Forum praised Lagerström’s soulful singing; ”Lagerström’s voice has true Soul in it
and I don’t mean the swinging kind but the kind of Soul that gets under your skin and makes you itch."
Tate and Lagerström are currently both working on new records to be released in 2010.
They will follow the records with additional US and European tours.
