Crockett's musical life began in elementary school wowing his instructors with his impressive six and a half octave range. He was instantly placed in the local theater and performed in such broadway classics as Hello Dolly and Half a Six Pence.
As he grew older his voice began to change and he battled to control it during the awkward transition from boy to man. He immediately found new ways to involve him self musically by buying his first guitar, an all black Fender.
Crockett quickly taught himself how to play all of his favorite songs. Within years him and some friends from school won the talent show and were asked to perform at one of the school dances. Every student and faculty member left the dance they played at raving about what an incredible show "those kids" put on.
Music has always stayed a major part of his life. In his most recent years he has taken up production and engineering. He now has his own record label featuring many of Detroit's hottest lyricists.
Davey Crockett and his brotherhood of Frontier's men are storming the music world in 2011. With enough material recorded in the last two years to drop an album every month, you can expect to see many stellar projects released from their crew. Stay tuned because you won't want to miss a minute of it.
