David began performing as a child prodigy in San Francisco at age 14. He has performed at the The Sweetwater, Shoreline Amphitheater, The Great American Music Hall, The Fillmore, as well as many smaller venues like The Blue Lamp, Strings, and the Bazaar Cafe. He has written and recorded many CDS including a 10 CD box set of his own music. The type of music David personifies is that of the SINGER / SONGWRITER in the tradition of Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Tom Waits, and James Taylor. David's writing style moves through many genres: pop, folk, rock, jazz, blues, even country. All these variations of genres make his over all body of work a testimony to his continued growth as an original, developing artist... yet these differences in genres get pulled together by his voice and lyrical style that has traces of many popular influences but, as a whole, is unique and distinctly his own. David used to live in Arizona and was known as, "Arizona's Hardest Working Musician." He now lives in N. Hollywood and performs with his trio THE DRINKS nightly. See www.thedrinkstrio.com. Many critics agree his music need only be exposed to a greater audience for him to achieve broad success in the music industry. A good example of this is evident right here on Garageband.com where his song DARKNESS made number 1 in COUNTRY / FOLK, many other songs have reached the low hundreds in genre ranking, and his other band name -David Grossman - has spotted songs in the top hundred for ROCK as well as COUNTRY FOLK.
