And the best part about it is that's what Dawn brings to the table with her music and everything else she does in her life! She has a heart as big as Texas and a thirst for life that apparently is unquenchable. She stands up like a Mamma Bear for the things she believes and is as loyal and trustworthy a friend as you could ever be blessed to find. And she's cuddly as Winnie the Pooh!
Music has been her personal passion since a tender age. It was her solice, her refuge, and her expression. It offered her emotional security and personal dignity - and she gave it, and continues to give it, her heart and soul - only now she does it as a confident, centered and wise woman.
Dawn has an unabashed desire to help people reach their potential - to overcome whatever stands between the past, now, and realizing their dreams. Dawn was awarded the Anthony Robbins Life Mastery Award 15 years ago for her personal life results and for the community work she did helping others with the Anthony Robbins Foundation. For over 20 years as a Life Coach Dawn had helped thousands of people create extraordinary lives. She believes in the basic goodness of people, in growth and contribution. She can be an angel and she can also be the hammer. And it is always and only done with love and pure intention.
Dawn is moved by a catchy rhythm, a thumping beat, a killer melody - an evocative lyric. What's on her ipod? Almost everything. Sometimes she goes for songs that have depth, other times it's songs that are sassy and sexy. Depending on what strikes her mood it could be triumphant songs that offer insight and inspiration - or a reggae beat. And that's what Dawn King and her new album is all about - foot stompin' and heart-tugging! Dawn loves a great song and a great performance. Her voice has been compared to Reba McIntyre, Toni Tenille, Linda Ronstadt, to mention a few. There may be the slightest hint here and there, but make no mistake - she is 100% original.

Dawn loves her family and friends, bigtime! She is still blissfully married for almost 20 years to the King of her Heart, Robert. By the way, Robert wrote all the songs on Dawn's debut album. Dawn is a dedicated mother of three and totally has a blast with her kids, Richard (26), Thomas ( 24) and Aja (16). She loves running and hiking with her golden retriever Milo. She is passionate about natural health and in 2006 wrote a multi-award winning book with Robert, titled “Live A Vibrant Life”. Dawn completely enjoys the sport of triathlon and is presently on the Canadian triathlon team. Yes, life is full and fullfilling for Dawn and simply put, Dawn lives life King Size!
