Crooks' lyric-driven and soul-wise music has drawn comparison to Lucinda Williams, Chrissie Hynde and Natalie Merchant. Her tunes have been included on compilation Cds while her full-length Cd "Adding Water to the Ashes " has received radio and rave reviews from the blogosphere and beyond. She's appeared at many festivals and events including Sunset Junction, California Music Fest and the Harmony Festival. She's also toured as part of Indie Abundance™: Music, Money & Mindfulness, and released an EP of original blues with cowriter Alex Walsh called "Crooks/Walsh Blues."
