Growing up in Virginia, Dee was born into a musical family. At a young age she was launched into music ministry, but knew she wanted to become a nurse when she grew up. After obtaining degrees in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Nursing, she continued to lead worship and perform special music worldwide. Dee has appeared with renowned gospel artists such as Andre Crouch, Sandy Patti, Larnell Harris and comedian Anita Renfroe. Dee recently performed in Israel with the National Christian Choir and appeared on Fox 45 Morning Show as a special guest.
In 2003, Dee Jones Ministries Inc. was formed and a premier CD “Light Your World was released. Subsequently in 2007, Dee wrote and recorded an original composition, “Nurses’ Anthem” which was featured in The Baltimore Sun, The Virginian-Pilot, The Delaware Times and several academic and nursing publications.
Dee is a sought after keynote speaker for conferences, seminars and commencement ceremonies. Whether on a cruise to the Bahamas or a field at Ripken Stadium, she is eager to share the message of hope and healing. Her topics included, “Holding Hands: A Spiritual Prayer Journal”, “The Ministry of Music,” “Exploring the Arts, Inviting Healing” and “Light Your World: A Charge to Nurses,” among other topics.
Dee resides in Havre de Grace, Maryland; with her husband of 29 years, Wilbur Jones, Jr. (a retired Army Veteran). They have 3 adult children and 1 grandson. She continues to practice nursing at Perry Point VA Hospital in Perryville, MD, where she is a Care Coordinator for Home Telehealth. Dee’s mission is to love and glorify God, encourage others, while shining her light throughout the world.
