Deer Park Avenue are a sister duo rock band. They're the winners of Hard Rock Rising, Washington D.C., and voting members of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) in the Washington D.C. Chapter. DPA formed in Sacramento, pulling their name from the street where they grew up on Long Island, NY. They released their debut EP, City Streets, which instantly gained an enthusiastic local audience.
Their sophomore release, Stop & Go, is a collection of high-energy rock songs, driving and melodic, with the retro punk edge that has come to define their sound. They co-produced the album with renowned producer and bassist Matt Bissonette, who has worked with the likes of Brian Wilson, Rick Springfield, Don Henley, and countless others. Their track “Millionaire” also features Grammy Award-winning drummer Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Santana, Ringo Starr), playing double drums with Stephanie.
Deer Park Avenue have toured on both coasts of the US as well as in Switzerland, France, and Germany, with airplay all over the US and overseas, including UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Internet radio worldwide, and they’ve played live on TV in California and Washington, D.C. “Waiting for You” was selected for a documentary collaboration between Billabong and DirecTV, and their popular track “Darkness Hides Me” won a competition with hundreds of votes on Bay Area radio station S*ALT.
