Background: Alright..background in short....I was born in Sac Town of Cali back in the late 60's. Around the age of 5 I journeyed eastward to Tennessee where I lived about 6 yrs. Around the age of 12, I moved on to Ohio where I resided until completing high school. Following graduation in 85', I choose the path of the military and faithfully served my country for over 24 yrs before deciding to retire. I've been to various parts of the world to include, Korea, Philippines, Europe and various areas in the Middle East. This gave me the opportunity to experience different cultures while enjoying a diversity of music that had a big influence on how my style of music evolved.

Influence and Style: If you were to ask me what my sound is like...I would say mostly experimental as I find it very difficult to put a label on. As you listen to some of my music, you will most likely notice a flavor of musical artists such as Timbaland and the Art Of Noise along with other various genres. Hard-hitting drums, harmonic synth action, catchy melodic hooks backed with intricate strings ensembles and simple piano loops...it's all in there. What I believe sets my music apart from many other Hip Hop artist though is that I don't base my songs off of samples from other artist however, the DJ in me definitely digs the sick remixes that artists come up with using the classics from the past. Another way that I keep it original is by just going to the lab whenever I feel like making a beat without knowing what I intend on producing and that's usually when the magic happens.

The Dream: I've always loved and appreciated music of all types and how it has evolved over the years, but it was many years ago when this love for music began. I can remember around the age of eight years old listening to the classic artists of yesterday of which there are too many to name. I'd always listen beyond the lyrics of a song, going deeper separating the individual tracks in my mind in attempt to identify every intricate detail of the song. I can also remember during this same time of my life when my cousins and I would mess with my grand dad's reel to reel goofing around trying to imitate songs we knew. Unfortunately, I didn't inherit my mother's incredible voice but we had fun. More importantly, It was during this time of my life that I professed that one day people would hear my music playing on the radio. That was my childhood dream but little did I know that in later years this dream would become a reality.

Past Experience: As far as experience goes, I've played the bass guitar for five churches since 1992 back when I rededicating my life to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe it is worth mentioning that this was a great leap of faith as I had no formal lessons on playing the bass guitar. Short story...after joining my church in Korea in 1992, we had lost our bass player and were in need of someone to fill that critical position. No one else stepped forward so I decided to try. Less than a year later In Jan of 1993, I played in my first gospel concert with James Bignon at Osan AB, Korea and was involved and performed in other musical gospel workshops and concerts in the following years. All it took was a little faith and God gave the increase.

Instrumental Skills: In addition to the bass guitar mentioned above, I have had exposure to musical instruments such as the cardboard box (don't laugh), flute, piano and keyboard and have had 6 years of DJ experience (street, club). It wasn't until around the age of 22 that I began to compose my very own music for fun. This is when I began learning the art of analog multi-track recording bouncing tracks due to my limited four track. My equipment was never cutting edge but I always made the best of what I had at the time and unto this day.

Musical releases: Fast forward to 2004 when I had the opportunity to be interviewed by the local news on my debut release of my first Inspirational CD titled "From the Valleys to the Hills" that was along the genre of Electronic/Jazz/Easy Listening while stationed in Altus, Oklahoma. Shortly after this local in-store release, I was blessed to hear my song on the radio making my childhood dream a reality. Several years later in Sept of 2010 while in Columbus, Ohio, I released my second CD titled "Rise" that more accurately captures my unique sound that fuses Hip Hop, Electronic, Rock, Pop, World and Urban soul vibes which is currently available at Itunes, Amazon and other various online distributors.

The Aftermath: My strong bond with music at a young age and my past experience has brought me to where I am today and has inspired me to continue doing what I do. I give Jesus all the praise for the talent he has blessed me with to hear, imagine and create and hope that those that choose to listen are inspired and encouraged and for the moment are taken away to a place to relax to sounds that make these hard times easier to cope with. Thanks for taking the time to read my bio and I hope that you enjoy my music and much as I enjoy making it. Fam, friends, fans....know that I truly appreciate all the support I you give. Oh just a fyi....my music or stage name as they call it was derived from my real name Darrin L. Swafford. That's about it so take care and God Bless you all.
