The Deli Llama Orchestra is a tribe, an assembly, a flexible collection of musicians from all corners of the United States who come together on a regular and rhythmic basis to perform, to record, to celebrate the wonders of life. The sound is hypnotic, free-form, improvisational. “Songs” last two minutes or twenty-two, according to the Muse. The core sound is the Music of the Spheres, embodied in and generated by the Tibetan Singing Bowl. The Bowls offer up the Lead Vibration, then the band joins in and the Conversation begins. Pretty heady stuff.
Unofficially headquartered in Columbia. Missouri, the Deli Llamas gather annually from the Four Directions to the Vedanta Temple in Hollywood to plot world domination strategies and to spread the simple joy of music for music's sake. Other gigs happen as they happen, in Nepal, in Montana, in Europe...maybe in your town if you want it.
Soul Food (Volume One) was the first out-stepping for the DLO. Like its predecessor, Soul Food Volume Two was spontaneously invented, improvised, and otherwise plucked from the ether in one take, straight to tape, live and free spiritual jazz. Learn more at www.PlayingHarmony.com
