Destrung is a three piece band from San Diego. Their sound has the energy and quirkiness of bands like Pavement and the Violent Femmes with a raw Lou Reed feel.
Destrung was set in motion by Jonas (guitarist of the San Diego band, Buck-O-Nine). Our sound is evolving into something like... if Stephen Malkmus and Gordon Gano saw The Plimsouls in 1983 and decided they wanted to start a band that wrote songs like "A Million Miles Away".
We haven't quite captured that exact sound on tape yet, BUT we are getting close.
