Devon Brooke Champen better known as "Devon Brooke" was born on December 4th 1995. Raised in upstate New York in a little town called Oneonta. Second eldest of 5 siblings to Lakeisha Champen. She spent a short time living with her grandmother at the age of 5, and then later moved to Connecticut to be with her mother. Ever since the beginning Devon has always known she was meant for great things. Throughout her entire life she has always been interested in music. From school plays, to talent shows, to singing competitions, they all brought her to where she is today. Winning first place for a local "Junior American Idol" contest at the age of 13 really brought her to realize how much she truly wanted to be a performing artist. Devon feels that her family, especially her uncle James Champen showed her that with a little hard work and perseverance she can , and will become the star that she was born to be. Devon also looks to her friends, and family for moral support and sees them as a true blessing given to her on her way to fame and fortune. This young prodigy only 15 years old has been writing music since she was 9. She not only sees music as an outlet of expression, but also a way of life. She is an exceptional vocalist, singer, songwriter, dancer, and performer. Her lyrical compositions are unlike any other. Her voice when projected has a dominant presence and will out shine most of the major female vocalists in the industry today. Singing with Fortified Records, LLC in 2011 is only the start of this extremely talented individual. She will be topping charts, and leading billboards for years to come.
