in a juke box at the age of 9 , and punching up "Get Offa My Cloud" at a bowling alley.
As Don got a little older , he listened intently to all the music on the A.M. radio. His first actual record buy was a 45 RPM
song by Creedence Clearwater called Proud Mary. Around the same time his older brother introduced him to Abbey Road,
along with Led Zepplin , At the same time there were TV shows featuring Tom Jones, Glen campbell , and Johnny Cash.
All of these shows had great guest appearances by artists like Tony Joe White , Jerry Reed and many others.
Don began playing guitar in high school , and took to it quickly. About a year after picking up the guitar , he was already
playing lead guitar with a group of friends who put a group together
His interest in music really took off when The Eagles and The Doobie Brothers hit the scene. The first concert he attended
was The Bob Seger System , the next was the legendary Allman Brothers. Today Don's favorite songwriter is Rodney
Crowell. For listening he enjoys Bonnie Raitt, Keith Urban , Emmylou Harris , Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Clapton and a host
of others. A lot of Donovan's influences are still playing today , like The Eagles, Santana , which he thinks is pretty cool.
