Dr. Von Zuko is a bit of an enigma even to those relatively few people who believe they know him quite well. Frequently characterized as "reclusive," the strange doctor has been known to spend days-on-end locked away in his “Temple of Digital Dreams” pushing the boundaries of the unconventional.
Primarily a guitarist, percussionist, and sometimes keyboard pilot in his earlier years, Dr. Von Zuko grew a bit bored with what was the musical norm . . . now he offers up a bold blend of musical styles integrating ancient sounds, cultural instruments, exotic underpinnings, and the high energy vibe of modern electrified instruments . . . all pumped up with a very potent mix of attitude and beat.
Dr. Von Zuko’s work has been characterized by many as cerebral, and delightfully breaking the rules of musical convention, generating its own unique synth-pop-crossover genre.
