Eaten by Clowns is playfully dark, groove oriented rock music, that you can shake your ass too. It’s innocently dangerous, flowing melodies and bouncing rhythms are the result of a brain that has been inundated by both culture and crap. Forced to sort through piles of razor blades and cotton candy for any shred of something valuable. It is a result of the music Lance Woodruff has heard over the course of his, “interesting” life. Music thrown into a blender with both love and rage for flavor, then poured over ice and laughed at.
EBC grew up in New Orleans, exposed to some of the best music in the world. When he was fifteen, he moved to Los Angeles and joined his first band. Since then, EBC has played countless shows, recorded over a dozen albums, and toured the country under many names before becoming the twisted science project it has evolved into today.
“It was important to me that EBC’s music skirt along the edge of experimental without losing its groove. It’s not so far out there that people can’t grasp it. It’s just enough to make it different.” say’s songwriter Lance Woodruff. “That was my biggest concern when I put together this album. I wanted it to be something different but still stay accessible. Most importantly, it has to make you want to move.”
