Just released his first solo guitar CD Intimate, all original music, fingerstyle with no overdubs. Ed is a composer, arranger-orchestrator, guitarist, musical director and music producer working in theatre, film and the concert stage. Recently: wrote the score for Fuente Ovejuna at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, orchestrated eleven national anthems for the VSO recording sessions for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, composed Birdsong a 45 minute work for The Vancouver Chamber Choir and Amir Koushkani, music director/music producer for the BRAVO Network programs A World Christmas and Tell it on the Mountain produced a new score for Storyeum, including composing original underscores for the VSO and various ensembles and conducted the VSO for the two sessions required. Other work: co-produced Ann Mortifee’s latest CD Into the Heart Of The Sangoma, scored Leo winning TV movie Race of the Century, play guitar in bands Chilliwack and Tangissimo, Assistant Conductor of Showboat (Ford Centre in Vancouver), Music Director/Producer for Jeff Hyslop’s CD and one man show Feet First; produced 3 CDs for Ancient Cultures winning a JUNO for El Camino Real, also The Miracle of Christmas; produced and arranged A World Christmas featuring the Vancouver Chamber Choir and WorldFest, Silk Road’s first CD Endless; founding owner of HARK Productions, a successful music production house while living in Toronto; have worked with many more of Canada’s finest performers including Brent Carver, Ann Mortifee, Leon Bibb and Sharon, Lois and Bram. Received many awards for music and music direction: Jessie Richardson (Vancouver), Dora Mavor Moore (Toronto), Juno, Cannes Commercial Festival (France), many awards for commercial compositions and have been nominated for many other awards as well.
