Edison's Children

Edison's Children consists of world reknown bassist Pete Trewavas (Marillion / Transatlantic) and NYC Progressive Rock Guitarist / Vocalist Eric Blackwood (Sublister / Blackwood & Foti / Crimson Steele). The union of these two musicians with friends Ian Mosley, Steve Rothery, Steve Hogarth and Mark Kelly of Marillion, Robin Boult of Fish and Andy Ditchfield of Dee Expus have brought together some of the greatest musicians in progressive rock to create the ultimate progressive concept album.

After appearing in bands for so many years, Edison's Children was Pete Trewavas' chance to do something more than play bass, as he takes on lead guitar, drum programming, keyboards and even some lead vocals. The album was produced and written by Eric Blackwood and Pete Trewavas during 3 sessions, in Sugar Loaf New York, Montreal and Mont Saint-Sauveur Quebec and Ocean City Maryland, surrounding Pete Trewavas' tours with Marillion and Transatlantic.

This collaboration was an immediate success with the album becoming one of the most quickly listened to albums in all of progressive rock, rising to #1 for 5 weeks straight for "average play gain Scrobbles" (iTunes and Last.FM listeners).

Pete Trewavas continues to tour with Marillion and Transatlantic on a consistent basis along with Acoustic Industry with Robin Boult. Eric Blackwood meanwhile is also a noted Special FX and Prop Technician and has worked on such movies and television shows as Person Of Interest, American Gangster, Spiderman III, I Am Legend, Sherlock Holmes, Boardwalk Empire, Men In Black 3 (MiB3), Law & Order SVU and CI, Bourne Ultimatum, and Pelham 1-2-3.
