Edmund Page is a classical guitarist with an extensive repertoire of primarily Spanish and Lattin American classical pieces.
He approaches the guitar with passion and sensitivity favoring natural sound and flow rather than exaggerated expression.
Notable pieces include Sonatina by F. Moreno Torroba, Capricho Arabe by Franscisco Tarrega, Chroro No.1 by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Choro de Saudade by Augustine Barrios and Layenda by Isaac Albeniz.
His repertoire includes works by Bach, Tarrega, Albeniz, Giuliani, Vliia-Lobos, Barios, Regondi, Torroba and Pujol.
Recent public performances have included the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts, Grace Methodist Church, Bull Run Mountain Conservancy and the Manassas Gallery Walk and he has accompanied local choral groups.
Edmund plays a left-handed Pavan guitar and his greatest pleasure is playing to his children at bedtime.
Edmund performs in Northern Virginia, Manassas, Herndon, Reston, Haymarket and surroundings and is currently working on a program of guitar duets and on classical guitar arrangements of some well known orchestral works.
